Dr. Kristen Burton is a cardiologist with a special interest in preventative care and noninvasive imaging for the diagnosis, surveillance, and management of various cardiac conditions. Her professional philosophy combines traditional guideline directed cardiovascular care, as well as comprehensive lifestyle modification in order to manage heart disease. Dr. Burton is board certified in Echocardiography, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiac Computed Tomography (CT).

Born and raised in Miami, Dr. Burton went on to complete her undergraduate (BS) and medical doctorate (MD) at the University of Miami. She completed her Internal Medicine internship and residency at the historic Los Angeles County + University of Southern California (LAC + USC) Medical Center in 2018. Dr. Burton also went on to complete her 3 year fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at LAC + USC Medical Center in 2021 where she served as Chief Fellow for the program. Upon completion of her training, Dr. Burton was honored with the Outstanding Fellow Award for excellence in patient care and dedication to education and research.

As a proud Miami Hurricane, Dr. Burton is excited to be back home. She joined MyCardiologist in August 2021 and sees patients at our South Miami office with same and next day appointments currently available. She looks forward to working with you to optimize your cardiovascular health.

I had the opportunity to meet Dr.Burton as a patient with atrial fibrillation at South Miami hospital on 12/21, and you could not fiend a better cardiologist. I highly recommend her.

I came to Dr. Burton for a second opinion after seeing another provider who was dismissive of my symptoms. Dr. Burton was incredibly kind, an excellent listener, and an a brilliant doctor. She correctly suspected I had a potentially dangerous condition and sent me to the hospital. She also stayed late on a Friday night to make sure I was treated at the ER for the condition and called me late that evening to go over the results and next steps. I was truly blown away, as were the hospital staff that treated me. I've never had such a pleasant experience with a doctor before! I highly recommend Dr. Burton. She will go the extra mile to make sure you're heard and you're healthy.

Amazing provider !
I was feeling awful when I finally decided to seek her help. Dr Burton was understanding , patient with all me questions and concerns , empathetic , and thorough explaining diagnosis and treatment Plans.
She was not rushed during my consultation and made me feel at ease the entire time.
Her assistant is amazing !!!
